Membership

Membership is open to those who served in PNG, their relatives and to interested people who wish to support the association.

New Members usually join the Association for one of these reasons:

  • they have positive memories of their time in TPNG
  • they are proud of their work, or association, with the Army of TPNG
  • they wish to honour the role of the PIB and NGIB during the War and the nation-building work of the PIR in the post-War period.

The Association has members and an elected Committee from across Australia with a mix of ex-Servicemen and family members. Our communications are mainly by Email and the AGM is held in June. Members who supply an Email address will receive news often. Members without Email will receive occasional newsletters. Newsletter contributions are welcome.

For a fee of only $5 a year, members are eligible to:

  • receive Newsletters by email or post.
  • attend reunions and commemoration services
  • nominate and vote for Committee positions
  • contribute stories or photos to the Newsletter
  • participate in Association team projects
  • access the PNG Anniversary Medal (conditions apply).
